 Jonkershoek Nature Reserve Camp

On the 30th of August we(Life Science 152 students) had the opportunity to go to Jonkershoek in Stellenbosch,in which we spent three days in. First day we got introduced to the reserve, its history, the animals which are found there and the permanent staff which keep the reserve intact and clean, after that we went for animal traps.Later that evening,it was a talent show, which was so much fun.

On the 2nd day,on sunday,I was on the kitchen duty and yes,we had a braai! We had a team building games, which our team(red)dominated in.It was a hot day, throughout the stay so we had the opportunity to busk in the sun and enjoy the day by the swimming pool.We learnt more about the the river flow/the different organisms found on the river and the health of the river. The star gassing was bit scary at fist as it was dark and we did not know what to expect, but the experience was informative.

On Monday we took a hike, where we saw different species of pants,it was hot and exhausting but I had so much fun, later that evening we had to present in our groups about our experiences at the camp.
